Choral Workshop at St Mary’s, Northchurch, July 20th

The major work will be Mussorgsky’s St Nicholas Mass – a work made up of some lesser known fantastic choruses set to the words of the mass by Philip Lane. Other works include the ever popular Beatus vir by Monteverdi, as well as choral works by Rachmaninov and Chesnokov. The workshop will be led by inspiring choral director Richard Grylls from Tring and the accompanist will be Jonathan Lee, an outstanding local organist based at St Peter’s, Berkhamsted.

The workshop will be run from 1-6pm on Saturday July 20th with breaks for refreshments and afternoon tea. There will be an informal performance of selected items which have reached a satisfactory standard at 6.30pm to which families and friends are most welcome at no charge. The fee is £12 to include music hire and refreshments and music will be available from July 3rd. All enquiries and bookings should be sent to music@stmarysnorthchurch.org.uk or telephone 01442 822915. Under 18s can attend free of charge if a responsible adult remains throughout.
